Enjoy an active holiday at any time of year when you stay at this comfortable chalet in a little-known region of the Alps.
In winter, you can ski directly from Chalet Celestia and enjoy 600km of slopes in the 3 Vallées ski area. This property is just a few metres from the Bettex piste and 250m from the chairlift.
In summer, you can explore the region on foot, using the many hiking trails, or enjoy activities such as paragliding, climbing, via ferrata, canyoning and rafting on the Isère river.
The nearest village is Les Menuires (2km away), which has several supermarkets, cheese shops and bakeries, as well as a choice of bars and restaurants. You will find even more choice in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville and Val Thorens, each less than 10km away. The footpath to Saint-Martin-de-Belleville passes right by the chalet.
At the end of a busy day, come back to Chalet Celestia and relax in the hot tub, sauna or steam room to enjoy the magnificient view.
About the property…
Chalet Celestia is a three-storey stone chalet for up to 13 guests, including 8 adults. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The garden level is home to the spa facilities: a sauna, a steam room and an outdoor Nordic bath. There is also a gym with weights and a home cinema for movie nights.
The first double bedroom is on this floor. It has a desk for remote working and a bathroom with a shower, bath and double sink.
The ground floor is where you’ll find the rest of the bedrooms – three double bedrooms and a room for 5 children with two sets of bunk beds and a pull-out bed. Two of the double bedrooms have their own bathroom with toilet, while the other bedrooms share a shower room with a double sink and a separate toilet. One of the double bedrooms also has a desk.
The first floor is open plan and arranged around a suspended fireplace. There's a comfortable seating area with several sofas and a television, a large rustic-style dining table, and a contemporary corner kitchen with a breakfast bar, induction hob and large American-style refrigerator. After dinner you could enjoy a game of pool, or step out onto the terrace for coffee under the night sky.
On the practical side, Chalet Celestia has a ski room with heated boot dryers, a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a covered garage for one car and an outdoor parking space.
About the area…
Chalet Celestia is in a quiet area of the mountains, just 10km from the peaceful village of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. This resort is particularly popular with families, who appreciate its tranquillity and its ski area designed for beginners.
Les Belleville is part of the Trois Vallées ski area, one of the largest in the world with 160 ski lifts and 600km of slopes for all levels. From Chalet Celestia, you can easily reach the glaciers of Val Thorens and the slopes of Les Ménuires, Méribel and Courchevel.
There's no shortage of exciting activities for you to choose from outside the winter season. Within an easy drive of the chalet, you will be able to try paragliding, climbing, via ferrata, canyoning or rafting on the River Isère.
Saint-Martin-de-Belleville has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. And while it doesn't offer a lively nightlife, you'll enjoy the traditional warmth and authenticity of a Savoyard village.
